Innovations for society
INNOVATIONS FOR SOCIETY (Inovace pro společnost in Czech) is an annual project that aims to reinforce development of social innovations in the Czech Republic. The project is designed for those, who have ideas, motivation or needed skills to implement new solutions of real social problems using internet or new media. The project brings series of events and outputs. The first task is to build a new website, where social innovators can meet, get to know and help each other to become their ideas true. Second task is to organize series of scientific cafés (so called precamps) with Czech experts on internet and new media round the Czech Republic. The last, but not the least, is to arrange second Social Innovation Camp in the Czech Republic druing the March 2012 in Brno.
About RESPEKT INSTITUTE
The non-governmental, non-partisan and non-benefit think tank Respekt Institute was established in 2001. Respekt Institute‘s mission is to contribute to the development of civil society in the Czech Republic and abroad. Since its foundation, the Institute organized dozens of public debates, developed numerous research and policy papers, within the field of civic society, social innovations, integration and cooperation of the Czech Republic within the European Union. The projects have also focused on human rights and democratization within the Czech Republic and abroad.
